Elisabeth Jennings, who lives in a rural part of the District, Burley-in-Wharfedale, combines her skills as a photographer with an ability to persuade famous people to pose for her photographs. Elisabeth has seized every opportunity to benefit from the Kickstart programme. She has attended several training courses, which she describes as ‘great,’ and goes to business clubs and other networking events. She has also taken part in the Amaze Yourself programme at the University and has been advised by Colin Holmes, Business Counsellor, Andrew Gibson, BizFizz Business Coach and Scott Sellars, IT Manager at Bradford Chamber.

Where are they now

The Love Apple café in Bradford city centre was the location for Elisabeth’s first exhibition of photographs, from 6-27 June, 2008. Entitled ‘Famous Faces,’ the exhibition featured a wide range of images, including pictures of two of the Kaiser Chiefs, lead singer Ricky Wilson and keyboard player Nick ‘Peanut’ Baines. This created an excellent promotional platform for her work. She now intends to build on this initial awareness by continuing to seek opportunities to photograph celebrities, while maintaining her revenue-earning pet photography.
