Business Link Yorkshire is offering two levels of Financial Health check to help business survive and thrive in the current economic climate. Business Link Yorkshire will fully fund the health checks for eligible businesses to the value of £1,150 or £2,300 including VAT, dependant upon the depth of service provided.

After an initial assessment of the customer's circumstances by a Business Link Online Advisers, the Financial Health Check will be delivered by a qualified, local accountant and paid for by Business Link.

Are you eligible?

To be eligible for the Financial Health Check businesses will:

• Have been trading for more than 1 year.
• Be sustainable.
• Impact on their local economy/community.
• Need to understand as a matter of urgency how best to focus their energies in the current economic climate.
• Be willing to share the content of the health check with Business Link.

A Business Link Advisor will work with the accountant to offer additional support, including access to additional expertise and funding where appropriate.

To qualify for the more in-depth health check, companies would be expected to be:

• Over 3 years old with more than 10 employees and/ or a turnover per employee greater than *£60k per annum or
• 1- 3 years old with more than 5 employees and/ or a turnover per employee greater than *£60k per annum.

*In the case of retail and wholesale businesses the turnover per employee should be greater than £110k.

*All other eligible businesses will quality for the lighter health check.

Accessing the Service

Any businesses interested in the Financial Health Check or any other help and support should contact their Bradford Kickstart Advisor or the Business Link Customer Information Centre on 08456 048 048. Before any Financial Health Checks can be undertaken a Business Link On-Line Adviser will carry out an initial telephone review with the customer. Where it is agreed that a health check is the most appropriate way to help the business, a written confirmation to proceed will be issued within two working days to be signed by both supplier and customer. The offer will be valid for one month.
