VAT reduction - good or bad for your business?

VAT is going down next Monday in time for the Christmas rush (only to pop back up again soon though!. For me, there might be a slight saving with the Christmas pressies, but no major difference in terms of business. What does this news mean for other small businesses in Bradford? Are you giving it the thumbs-up or thumbs-down? Or are you shaking your head and asking 'Why'?
