Need to employ someone -what do I do?

Not sure if this is the place to ask, but I work for myself and want to start employing someone else. What do I need to do? Am I allowed to continue as a sole trader or do I need to become a limited company? Plus, what do I need to do about PAYE and tax etc? I'd be really grateful if someone could point me in the right direction...
